At Arthritis Care we rely on the generosity of our supporters to maintain and develop our services for people with arthritis throughout the UK. We are very grateful for the donations we receive from charitable trusts, companies, the Big Lottery Fund, statutory voluntary funds, our members, community groups and members of the public.
Please see our Annual Review for further details of our supporters in 2005.

Please refer to our corporate sponsorship policy for more information about how we work to build constructive relationships with external organisations.
Below are some examples of our key partners and how their support has made a difference to the lives of people with arthritis.
We have received significant support from the Big Lottery Fund at a UK-wide, national and local level. Recently, a strategic grant enabled us to develop our public policy and campaigns work, helping people with arthritis access the services and support they need in their local communities.
One of our key aims is to raise awareness of the needs of people with arthritis. A research project and report funded by an educational grant from Pfizer enabled us to raise awareness of the everyday challenges faced by people with osteoarthritis. The launch of the report, OA Nation, helped us reach over 35 million people.
An information campaign, developed in partnership with Boots and the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS), was a huge success in 2005. Around 60 per cent of Boots stores took part, offering us the opportunity to inform pharmacists and customers about the healthcare choices available to people with arthritis.
In 2005, a grant from Lloyds TSB Foundation for England and Wales enabled us to launch a pilot project focusing on the needs of young people with arthritis and their families. The project has made excellent progress, with more than 20 young people currently involved as volunteers.
