Arthritis is the UK’s biggest cause of physical disability. The condition can strike at any age and can affect all aspects of a person’s life.
Despite this, arthritis has not traditionally been a priority issue for governments in the UK and services for people with arthritis are inadequate in many areas.
With an ageing population, arthritis is one of the main health care issues facing the UK today. Currently, over nine million people in the UK have arthritis.
