How to join the team
There are two ways to join the Arthritis Care Team 2011; through the official ballot and through one of our limited charity places.
The official ballot for 2011 runners is now closed. 125,000 applicants registered in less than one day meaning the race is even more popular than ever before. If you are lucky enough to be able to join us with a ballot place, you will find out in October from the organisers.
Applying for a charity place
Arthritis Care has a limited number of charity places which we can give to runners. These can be applied for through our online application form. If you are successful in the ballot, but have been given a charity place, that is fantastic as it means we will have a space freed up for another applicant for our team.
Team support
We look after our runners from start to finish supporting them with both training and fundraising. Every step they take will go towards supporting the 10 million people living with arthritis in the UK. All our runners will receive:
- ongoing support from our dedicated Marathon event co-ordinator
- an information pack full of fundraising ideas
- advice from a professional coach
- help with press releases to your local media
- an exclusive Arthritis Care running vest
- an invitation to our post-marathon reception for you and your guests
