In 2009 Arthritis Care Central England has hosted two Open Day events for people with arthritis, their families and carers; health and social care professionals and local employers.
The aim of these events is to
- bring Arthritis Care services to the hard to reach communities
- raise awareness of arthritis in the unrepresented areas of the region
- encourage development of local arthritis self help groups
- volunteering for the charity
The open days in Lincoln and Leamington Spa received very positive feedback.
