West Yorkshire Playhouse played host to our Young Persons & Families AGM on 28th September.
This well attended event was organised by branch secretary and treasurer Dr Jenny Waite-Jones from Leeds University. “The event was excellent,” said Jenny “and we had very positive feedback.” Arthritis Care was joined by Jill Jackson and her support team from Leeds General Infirmary as well as representatives from DIAL and Connexions, who were on hand to provide valuable information on benefits and careers.
Young people attending the event enjoyed a workshop where they were asked to create a storyboard of their life with arthritis before competing in a game of indoor golf, organised by Arthritis Care.
