October 2006 saw the Carrickfergus Branch of Arthritis Care celebrate their 21st Anniversary with a party at the Hawthorn Centre where they hold their meetings. 4 of their founder members were present at the event and a good time was had by all. We congratulate them on reaching this fantastic milestone and thank them for their on-going hard work.
January 2007 led us to another 21st Birthday Celebration – the Omagh Branch held a 21st Anniversary Dinner Dance in the Silver Birch Hotel, Omagh, on Friday 12th January. The committee of the Omagh Branch very kindly handed over a donation of £1000 to Arthritis Care NI, something which they have done faithfully over the last number of years and which we have used to run self-management courses in the Omagh area. We hope they continue for many years to come, providing practical and social support for people with arthritis in the Omagh area.
