What do you want to know about the quality of joint replacement surgery in Scotland?
The Scottish Arthroplasty project monitors the standards of all orthopaedic surgeons who perform joint replacements in Scotland to encourage continual improvement in the quality of care provided to joint replacement surgery patients. This is currently achieved through the auditing of routinely collected data. The data is used to produce a scientific report each year, which contains a wealth of information. However the report contains a lot of statistical information and is not always easy to understand.
We have the opportunity to influence what information is included on a patient information fact sheet and how it is presented. Ideas so far include:
