Handrails are to be added to the splash pool and the toddler pool in the Pavilions Leisure Centre, Horsham.
Siobhain McCurrach, policy and campaigns manager for South England organised a day with local MP, the Rt. Hon. Francis Maude to shadow a person with arthritis. The aim of the day was to highlight for MPs the barriers that people with arthritis face on a daily basis. During a trip to the Pavilions Leisure Centre it was noted that there were difficulties wading across the splash pool. The council agreed to add a rail to the splash pool and a second rail to improve access to the toddler pool.
Siobhain McCurrach commented that 'it was a great result'
