The Challenging Your Condition course is similar to Challenging Arthritis, but is aimed at people with any long-term health condition.

The course has been designed to help people to use a variety of measures in order to deal with the short, medium and long-term problems associated with their condition.

The scheduled course runs for two-and-a-half hours each week for a period of six weeks.


Some of the topics covered by the course are:

  • self-management principles
  • problem solving and goal-setting
  • healthy lifestyle
  • fatigue, and energy conservation
  • depression
  • working with health care professionals
  • accessing community resources.

The courses are very informal. They are usually delivered by trained volunteers who have a chronic disease themselves.To learn more please get in touch.
