Almost all Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) claimants must attend a medical assessment, after which a medical report is produced.
This report is used to decide whether or not the benefit will be awarded. Claimants regularly report gross inaccuracies in many of these medical reports, which result in them being denied this benefit.
The Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) are monitoring this problem in order to lobby for improvements. If you are in the process of applying for ESA you can help them by taking part in a survey to assess the accuracy of your medical report.
This process may also help support your claim.
