Our policy and campaigns team are working hard to improve access to self-management services across the UK.
Whenever we talk to policy makers and health service providers we highlight the importance of access to self-management services in helping people to manage their arthritis effectively.
Recently we supported a meeting where people with arthritis talked to junior Health Minister Lord Darzi about their needs and how self-management should be included as part of a major review of the NHS in England. In Scotland we have campaigned so effectively for self-management to be part of the health service that we are currently working with the Scottish Government to draft a self-management strategy for the nation.
