'It has been great to find people who have been through similar experiences and also to talk about things that have really impacted on my life.' Fay

When you have arthritis, it’s important that family and friends learn about your condition and understand how you feel. They need to know that although you may look fine on the outside, you can actually be in a great deal of pain or feel thoroughly exhausted with your arthritis. Make sure you make time to talk. Arthritis can create a sense of isolation; affect your relationships, your career and your perception of the future.

Free phone accredited helpline

Talking to somebody at the Arthritis Care helpline on 0808 800 4050 can help. Our staff are trained professional helpline workers and many have arthritis themselves.
