The Royal Society of Medicine in conjunction with Arthritis Care is holding a one-day conference entitled ‘Medicine and Me: Arthritis’ on Tuesday 21 April from 12.30pm until 5.30pm.
This event is specifically designed for people living with arthritis, and will bring them together with carers/personal assistants, families, advocates, support groups, clinicians and researchers to discuss care and research issues. The meeting aims to provide a forum in which concerns about arthritis are given top priority, and provides an opportunity for people to share their experiences, to hear about the latest research and to question the experts.
The programme includes four paired presentations from people living with arthritis, followed by responses from experts who will discuss the issues raised. The themes of the meeting are self-management, working in partnership, making informed choices about treatments and an examination of some new treatments. The meeting will conclude with an extended interactive panel discussion involving all the speakers and the audience.
All those affected by arthritis are encouraged to attend this conference.
There is a refundable deposit of £15 which includes refreshments and conference materials. To register for a place please book online at www.rsm.ac.uk/diary or telephone Miss Cristina Dietmann on 020 7290 3919.
