Arthritis Care would like to extend a great big thank you to all of our 12 dedicated and enthusiastic runners who participated in the BUPA London 10,000 on 31 May 2010.
We really hope all our runners enjoyed the day and are proud of their fabulous achievements. The money raised will go towards empowering the nine million people in the UK with arthritis by producing high quality information and support as well as raising awareness of arthritis and the significant impact it has on everyday life.
We would also like to thank all of the family and friends who came out to support our runners by cheering them on during the race and at our cheering point by Waterloo Bridge. One of the runners Michelle Goldsmith said ‘Thank you so much for yesterday; both you and your team worked so hard! The cheers definitely made the run a lot easier and were very much appreciated.’
The post race reception at the Old Star at St James Park was a great success with many of our runners and their families attending. Thank you to all those who came, and thanks to the staff at The Old Star for allowing us to hold it at their venue.
Once again, a huge thanks to all of the fabulous runners who have been training and fundraising for months for this incredible achievement. They are:
Our thoughts go out to a couple of our team runners who were unable to run on the day due to unforeseen circumstances. Our thanks go to them for their support in fundraising before the race.
