Arthritis Care believes that everyone is entitled to support with their condition, regardless of their financial circumstances. Therefore, we ensure that individuals do not have to pay to attend our courses.

Funding sources

We are dependent, however, on a variety of sources to help us cover our costs and to ensure that we can afford to maintain our professional standards. We are grateful to the organisations that help us fund our courses. These vary according to what part of the UK you are in, but include:

  • primary care trusts
  • community health partnerships
  • health boards
  • social services boards
  • social services
  • care agencies
  • Arthritis Care branches
  • grant making trusts and foundations

We look mainly to local authorities to fund courses for the benefit of their local communities.

Despite our strenuous efforts, funding cannot always be guaranteed. So if you haven’t been able to find a course in your area, please bear with us. Registering your interest with your nearest office will help us to build a picture of demand which we can use as evidence for potential funders and commissioners.
