One of the key findings of the OA Nation report (Arthritis Care, 2004) was the importance of the role of the GP.
Three quarters of people interviewed find GP visits valuable and more than half find their doctor responds positively to any acquired knowledge or information the patient brings to a consultation.
Arthritis Care has developed the Ten Minute Management of OA toolkit for
GPs. It aims to maximise patient consultation time and further improve
the patient/GP relationship. The toolkit is provided in Powerpoint
format.
