Medicine and Me: Arthritis
This conference took place at the Royal Society of Medicine on 21 April 2009 as part of Arthritis Care Awareness Week.
This event was specifically designed for people living with arthritis, and brought them together with carers, families, support groups, clinicians and researchers to discuss care and research issues.
The aim was to provide a forum in which concerns about arthritis were given top priority, and also provide an opportunity for people to share their experiences and to question the experts about the latest research advances.

Living Well Despite Pain Seminar
The British Pain Society Patient Liason Committee is hosting a seminar for the Voluntary sector and for this year, the theme for the seminar, in conjuction with Arthritis Care follows the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) in looking a musculoskeletal pain.
The seminar will offer practical ideas for the day to day management of long term musculoskeletal pain. The afternoon will focus on practical ways to get the Chief Medical Officer report recommendations implemented in organisations and local areas.
It is for all those with a interest in living with persistent musculoskeletal pain, including - voluntary sector organisations; individuals living with pain or caring for someone with persistent pain; health professionals working with people with pain; professional associations and statutory bodies.
