Many people find listening to a calm voice talking them through muscle relaxation and a guided imagery exercise is a great way to relax. On CD or on your computer it can be used regularly or whenever you need it.
Our original relaxation cassette tape has now sold out and we have produced a new CD. The CD has been professionally produced with five different relaxation exercises, using male and female voices. Follow the guiding voice to transport yourself to the beach or countryside, whenever you feel the need.

When the body is stressed, it releases the stress hormones adrenaline and cortisol, causing our blood pressure to rise. These stress hormones are very useful in the short term, but they are very toxic in the long term. High levels of stress hormones can suppress the function of the immune system and affect the quality of sleep.
Relaxation has been proven to counter these effects. Studies have shown that using relaxation techniques regularly can also decrease the likelihood of heart attack and stroke, and reduce the incidence of a second heart attack, protect us from mental health problems, aid memory and learning, improve our coping skills, and make us feel better in ourselves.
