Information on working with arthritis

Our pages on working with arthritis are for anyone with arthritis who is either starting work for the first time, trying to stay in employment or returning to work.

It talks about things like the fact it’s better to seek help and talk to your employer when you start to experience problems. Being honest about your abilities and your needs will help and bottling up your emotions and worrying will only make you feel more stressed.

Our work pages include advice on how to apply for jobs, how to deal with a current employer and how to structure your work days.

The pages also outline the 'reasonable measures' employers must take in order to not place you at a disadvantage in the workplace.
